After rinsing thoroughly, gently remove the excess water with your hands and get ready to shampoo. Remember to go easy and not harshly pull or twist, as it can wring the hair out of the lace.

Apply a small amount of shampoo to your hands and tap the hairs from the roots to the end. Try to keep the shampoo away from the scalps of the natural hair wig. In this step, avoid scrubbing, rubbing, scratching, and applying too much shampoo because it can damage the strands.

For the best results, utilize the clarifying shampoo, which is specifically formulated for wigs or natural hair wigs. These shampoos are gentle to not damage the hair and provide the wig with what it requires. Some people prefer to get a hand on mild shampoos for color-treated hair.

To wash it away, run cool water from the base down to the bottom of the hair. Once you have rinsed the shampoo, use a towel to gently dry the hair before applying the conditioner. The wig can still be wet, but it will not be dripping.

When your human hair wig is still damp, you are ready to condition. You can apply the conditioner in the same way. It is essential to keep the wig’s hair hydrated and soft. Work a small dab into the wig while starting from the bottom.
Now gently comb through the strand with the help of a wide comb to keep the conditioner far from the base. You can let most conditioners apply for five minutes but follow the directions mentioned on the bottle. Once the time is up, run cold water from the tops to the downwards till the end of the strands. Make sure you thoroughly wash away all conditioner before blotting it dry.

As you have washed and cleansed the wig, you just have to wait and let it dry. You can use a towel to lightly blot it and leave it on its strand.
